    Essential Canterbury Scene listening.

    For those interested in British psychedelic bands, social history and The Canterbury Scene, this is a five star product along with K.A. other albums, like Joy of a Toy, Bananamour, etc., and other bands inching Soft Machine, Hatfield and the North and Gong. A bit darker than Joy of a Toy, from tracks like There is loving, Song from the Bottom of a Well, Champagne Cowboy Blues, it seems to have been compose in a depressive period of K.A.'s life. Interesting nonetheless.

    It's 30 years since the original release & it just gets better. An eclectic & diverse album that flows from the wimsical to the experimental. Highlights include the classic "Stranger in Blue Suede Shoes" & sublime "whatevershebringswesing" featuring Ayers fellow Soft Machine band mate Robert Wyatt. This particular edition also includes 4 bonus tracks. Ayers at his best.
