Indeed a legend in her own time, Lara Croft returns to consoles in 2006 with a new look, a new game, and a new developer. Revamped physics and an enhanced control scheme allow for more free-flowing action, while graphical improvements present a redesigned Lara who is immediately expressive, more believably proportioned, and as strikingly attractive as ever.<br><br>Lady Croft's new look in Legend is based in part on 20-year-old British model Karima Adebibe. Lara now boasts smoother animations, a more realistic deportment, and a number of costume changes. The original Tomb Raider games were popular for their innovative blend of gaming styles as well as for their distinguished female lead, however, and this game is designed to return fans to the winning combination of 3D platforming, environmental puzzle-solving, and third-person shooting found in the blockbuster originals.<br><br>While the story line of Tomb Raider -- Legend is told around the series' traditional "tomb raiding" action, Lara must also adventure through modern city levels, proving her acrobatic skill set is as applicable to skyscrapers and cement as it is to unforgiving wilderness and ancient architecture. New equipment, such as the grappling hook and communication device, offer new abilities. A number of vehicles become available along the way, as well, for special gameplay sequences.<br><br>For the first time in the series, stalwart Eidos studio Crystal Dynamics (Gex, Legacy of Kain, Project: Snowblind) was developer of this Tomb Raider game, instead of the franchise's creator, Core. The designers at Crystal Dynamics have endeavored to apply their extensive experience in the 3D action genre toward reinvigorating one of gaming's most recognizable and beloved characters.

The seller listed as a "brand new" game, but the game arrived is not sealed and only has a dirty sealing sticker, which is definitely not brand new. If I want a used one, I'll just go to local owners to find a much cheaper one. Not much to complain about the shipping though. Not the fastest, but still OK. I didn't bother ask the seller and started the return process, so I'll leave the "Seller Communication" a five star.

    Great game, one of the best Tomb Raiders

    A great entry in the series, Lara is at her best in this game. Incredible mechanics and level designs. This is what a tomb raider game should play like.

    Tomb Raider Legend

    Fun game that both me and my kids enjoy. The controls are a little too touchy compared to the early games in the TR series, however the game's graphics, music and detail make up for the control shortcomings. I would recommend this game to anyone who like the TR games for a low cost entry to play one of the newer TRs. A large 21" TV makes the game far more enjoyable than a small TV also. Lara's detail is quite amazing. The designers did a great job on her character. Enjoy!

    ADD THIS ONE TO YOUR COLLECTION TODAY! Tomb Raider: Legend has everything an adventure game should have. Smooth controls, great graphics, and best of all, Lara Croft! The story line is pretty well done and the voice acting is better than most games. This title really takes Lara to the next level with all the new additions to her acrobatic abilities.     Tomb Raider: Legend.....LEGENDARY!

    Excellent game! Been a fan since I was young when I used to play it on PC. Gamecube has done a great job with the gameplay and it is equally if not more exiting to play than the PC versions. Getting used to the amount of possible controller combinations takes some getting used to, but the amount of frustration involved only adds to the overall 'gusto' in the inevitable accomplishments. A+

    She is Legend

    It's like a movie that I am a part of. It's sooooo captivating. It's not fair to my finals that this movie I mean game fell into my Wii at this time. You have to really think when it comes to this one. It's not just brainless or mindless shooting. It's strategy and shooting. Sometime quite confusing, but if I can make progress anyone teen and up can.
