Best first mod you can do! Sounds great, looks great and shaves 20lbs off
The Yoshimura R77 Slip-on Carbon fiber muffler was the first item purchased for my CBR1000RR. It came packaged very well, it included all the hardware and the side aluminum cover and it just looked awesome. It took me about 40 minutes to complete my installation. I just couldn't wait to press the starter button! When I did it was better than I imagined it would sound! It also included a silencer baffle that you can use if you like it a bit quieter, but let's face it, it's not what you bought this thing for! Out of all the mufflers I've seen on bikes this is the best looking and best sounding. Next I purchased a Bazzaz fuel computer and a Z-Bomb also a BMC race air filter in order to take full advantage of the non restricted exhaust. These four products worked in combination to make ... These four products worked in combination to make a significant positive change to the bike. I then purchased -1Front and +1back 520 gearing and a Speed Healer. This concludes my go fast purchases for a while. They transformed the bike to exactly what I wanted and more! My previous bike was a Ducati 1098S so the New Honda CBR1000RR seemed weak in comparison. It's hard to compare the torque of a twin to a stock inline four. After the changes I made, the Honda became very aggressive in a very linear way. When you open the throttle now, it has more torque and climbs to redline so quick that it makes the 1098S seem slow. Keep in mind that the Honda also revs 4K higher! These changes converted a nice street bike to a real world class superbike and without changing the reliability or the street manners at all. It just took a mild mannered machine and turned it to a screaming, psycho killer in search of victims! Now, it's a real competitive race bike with lights! BTW get rid of that ugly back section and replace it with a CustomLed intergrated tailight! You'll find it on Ebay. Get a tag bracket too or make one. Hope this helps with your mods, enjoy your toy, ride safe!
