A great ideal to avoid trips to an empty mailbox until the mail is delivered.
No more guessing if the mail has been delivered with the mailbox alert Very easy to install and it comes complete with everything needed for operation. I use to go to the mailbox 2 or 3 times a day to check if the mail had arrived. Now NO more trips to check until the red light illuminates on the receiver inside your home. You can turn the volume down or off for the reaping chime and use just the red light which is what I do. The transmitter is inside the mailbox and work when the lid is opened by the mailman. I really like this unit!! Works with plastic mail boxes and small size boxes the best according to the instructions. . Not so good
It would be nice if it worked all the time. Less than 100 ft from receiver. Almost straight line. Works 1 out of 3 times. Our previous one worked 99 % of the time. Very disappointed. May send it back.

Bulky sending unit difficult to adhere to box, but signal is adequate.
I've had a few different variations of the mailbox alert. They've all worked fine at first, and eventually failed. I have not had this long enough to know how it will hold up over the long term. This one is more expensive than the others I've owned. The sender is bulkier than competitive products, and the sticky tape provided to adhere it to the mailbox cover was woefully inadequate. I had to purchase a heavy-duty double-sided tape, which worked fine. My box is about 200' from the receiver and the signal is received at the house with no problem. The receiver must be plugged into a wall like a nite-lite, making it a little less convenient to store in place, than if it used a wired plug.I've had a few different variations of the mailbox alert.
