THIS IS A FILM THAT WILL KEEP YOU GLUED TO YOUR SETTEE. I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED THIS. SOME OF THE CHARACTERS YOU WANT GET HOLD OF AND GIVE A GOOD SHAKING. JUST REMEMBER THIS ACTUALLY COULD HAPPEN. I GIVE IT 10 OUT OF 10 A VERY GOOD FILM TO WATCH . THIS IS A MUST FOR ANY ONE.

I had been waiting to see this for a while with mostly good reviews. I was quite immpressed with the special effects and really looked believable. What do you expect from a film about 'the end of the world' exactly that with lots of people fighting for survival, mostly following one family. Some parts were quite slow and boring, but over all if you want to see what could happen on 21-12-12 this film puts it in perspective.I had been waiting to see this for a while with mostly good reviews. Quite long but good action film - good special effects
This film could have easily have been 1.5 hours long and you wouldnt have lost that much but in saying that I did enjoy it and the action scenes were great. The driving scenes while the land was crumbling behind them were VERY far fetched to the point of groaning but were amazingly filmed. In a nutshell the plot is the planets aline in the solar system and the increased solar flare activity heats up the earths core and makes the crust so unstable it cracks up and reforms thus destroying most of the surface. The governments being aware of this have make huge arcs to save as much of mankind as possible. Huge disaster scenes - earth quakes, building colasping topped with tidal waves and volcanoes errupting fill the film with action. If you liked the film "The day after tomorrow" you will like ...
