    It's a Cracker!

    superb piece of kit. I do a lot of door-to-door stuff across North Wales which, for those that don't know, can be quite mountainous, lots of single track roads and your nearest neighbour might be more than a mile away. Giving directions to such places can be a bit long winded (a bit like this review) and sometimes not easy. This Tomtom has the facility to display GPS co-ordinates of your current position (whereas the Go500 I also use doesn't). Makes my day to day job much easier

    I didn't expect this.......

    I bought this version because the first edition was SO good. Instead, this 3rd edition has proved to be unreliable often sending me to places I don't want to go. On one occasion, a left turn 50 yards ahead turned out to be a cycle track. I got a very odd look from a pedestrian that saw me signal left ...only to screech to a halt when I saw that my car would never fit down such a narrow track!

    Good product, better than cheaper far eastern alternatives

    I bought the Tom Tom, after having a problem with a Sat Nav come MP3 player that I bought from a Chinese supplier. It took a bit of playing about with it to navigate through the menu, because it being second hand there was no manual. I expected it to have European maps but it didn't, however, these can be downloaded (at a price)easily from their website. It works well and is accurate to a point, some of the speed limits not being correct even although I downloaded updates, in some cases saying it was 30 when it was 60 on bypasses. This can be annoying as it makes a one-off noise when you are a certain number of miles over the speed limit it has programmed into it. All in all happy with it a the moment and hopefully this will still be the case when I use it in Spain in September.
