This film is brilliant I cant say anything bad about it the story line to series is great.

No Kate Beckinsale in this one, only darkness
This is the third film in the Underworld series but the story is a prequel, going back to the beginning of the Lycan (Werewolf) era. Unfotunately that means no Kate Beckinsale who plays Selene, and her leather jumpsuit replacement (Rhona Mitra as Sonja) is simply not memorable. Martin Sheen and Bill Nighy put in good performances but the story doesn't flow. This is the worst of the four Underworld films, and if I was to put them in order I would say it is:- 2,1,4,3. Kate returned for the fourth film but there is no need to make a fifth. Great story, interesting characters
I would say in terms of story this dvd is very engaging and the characters are vastly interesting I very much enjoyed this prequel to the series and I would recommend to vampire fans and werewolves fans alike.
