Rediscovering Guns n' Roses
This album, although not particularly well-received in its day, is excellent overall and contains some amazing songs. After having listened to it, I think it was ahead of its time and people just weren't open to the change in sound that Axl envisioned. People probably didn't understand the title either. Out of the 14 songs on the album, I like: Madagascar, This I Love, and the final song. I really like: Better, Street of Dreams, If the World, There was a Time, and Catcher. Instrumentally, the songs are very complex and Axl's voice is great (although it has been tweaked at times). I think Axl pushed himself vocally, which is why many of these songs are now difficult for him to perform live.
