I love Manhattan, luv NYC itself!!!I go there during the summer almost every other weekend w/friends in my Convertible w/the top down, SO MUCH FUN!. I know places that were taped in, shop where Carrie shops. This series is for MEN & WOMEN,ages 18-100 yrs.old! Me & my girlfriends are die-hard fans & when sex n the city the movie #2 was coming out,I happen to buy my usual magazines,& Sarah J. Parker was on the cover of June's Marie Claire.In the magazine about 8-12 pgs ahead was a chance to win a ticket to the new movie,it had U go to a URL & enter the code it gave you. Now me & my friend all were waiting for it 2 come out & go make a night of it 4 like 2 months.So i told them about the magazine & then i entered my code & i ACTUALLY WON!(I NEVER win ANYTHING!)I printed out a page,it had a congrats at the top & a visa(or mastercard?)with my name& up to $12 to see the show, & instructions on the side for the counter person.It was a glittery pink card in the shape of an actual credit card.I told my fiends, & they& me went out 2 get the magazines but no one else won:0

Sex and the City complete series
I was not a big fan of Sarah Jessica Parker; I never intended to watch any episodes at all. My daughter begged me to watch it with her and I was amazed how involved I had gotten, I couldn’t miss an episode from that point on. I bought each season as soon as it was available, I’d put them in my DVD player on a shelf in front of my treadmill and watched as I worked out laughing the whole 30 min's. My husband would come in to see why I was having so much fun working out, he thought I was nut's.(Hmm, maybe I am). I still work out while I watch them over and over and have not gotten tired of them yet. I'm so freaking healthy, physically and mentally. Oh, by the way ladies and gentlemen, I lost 10 lbs through the 6 seasons and am in terrific shape. I Love, Love, Love ... I now am not only a fan of Kim, Kristin and Cynthia's on the series but am now a HUGE fan of Ms. Parkers. I will watch anything she is in and read all positive articles about her. I have tried to get my friends to watch just 1 season, I know when they give in they will be hooked as well. I highly suggest all women and men from 18 to 108 see this whole series, I’ll bet you won’t be able to watch just one CD and you will find yourselves relating to each personality. Everyone wants to be like Carrie of course but I am more like Miranda, even though my daughter won’t admit it she is most like Charlotte but we both relate in one way or another to the entire cast of women. I also believe men, straight as well as gay men, can enjoy getting into the heads of these women; maybe it will hit a nerve for some and change a few undesirable (to women) habits they might have. Probably not, but it will be worth watching anyway. If it does nothing else, it will at least lighten your mood for those 30 minutes of the day! If I ever wear these CD'S out, I will purchase them again. The only thing I will say that I disliked about the Sex and the City series is that I was left at the end of the 6th season wanting more and knowing there will never be. I hate when that happens!

Great Entertainment for Select Audiences
Watched virtually every episode of entire series on HBO as Sunday night has always been our unofficial family TV night. Needless to say, the "women" in the house derived the most enjoyment from it as is to be expected given the premise of the show. However even as a modern, but conservative man I also found the show highly entertaining. At 30 minutes or less per episode, the show almost always did its thing and did it quickly allowing for the elimination of that awful filler material which when added in 'to fill up the time' ruin good movies, let alone TV shows. While all of the glitz and glam does not represent "reality" for most of us in the audience, the issues confronted during the six seasons were certainly basic fundamental themes that most healthy ... That opposites do attract is certainly an ancient universal truism; that open, mature, intense, meaningful relationships are difficult and often impossible to successfully navigate through is certainly a common outcome for many of us; that true love ultimately comes at a high price is an inescapable truth. Perhaps the most important issue developed during the series concerned the fact that despite or in spite of outward appearances and behavior, most people in our society are terribly insecure and afraid to be alone. The four leading characters live and express this conundrum over the "years" in very different ways, but all inevitably come to the same realization that we are after all is said and done (and screwed in the case of Samantha!), social beings that require the formation of meaningful connections before we can even begin the process of self-realization and personal growth. That all this is accomplished with great humor and genuine pathos is I suppose a tribute and the reason for the great international success of the show.
