I have been using a Remington MS2391 for some years now - it gives a far superior shave to anything else that I have tried. Unfortunately, it is starting to fall apart and so I have bought others in anticipation of its demise. Nothing else shaves as well as the MS2391; Remington seem to introduce all sorts of gimmicks to try and tempt their customers instead of sticking to a proven design. The MS5120 is the same basic design as the MS2391 so I bought it in hope that it might work as well, as it is the only shaver of that design that Remington seem to make now. It has two differences; the battery is old style and needs 16 hours to recharge - I will have to live with that. It has a third shaving head which ops-up and is for "detail". A gimmick of chocolate fireguard efficacy, in my opinion. As to how it performs, my initial impressions are favourable, but it is not as good as the MS2391. Why, oh why don't Remington still make that? At full price of £99.99 it is expensive, but I found a graded shaver for under £30 so, a bargain. Read full review

You would exspect a newer version of a product to be better. Not in this case. The noise is awful and changes tone if foils are pressed in. The charger & cable is cheap & nasty. In fact, I threw mine away & continued to use my old 5120's. Within one day of use I tried in vain to find my old vesion online but sadly it's no longer available. The case is slighly worse in quality. Finally, I can only find replacement foils with cutters. I can imagine having to buy a whole pack when just the smaller foil needs replacing. My old shaver had three foils & cutters all of the same size. At approx £16 + per set I dearly want my old shave back!

I like this particular shaver so much I have had at least five of them and currently have three on the go. The refurbished ones provide excellent value and seem just as pristine as those I have bought brand new. I find this shaver to be very effective and particularly appreciate the ability of the small, pop-up foil to access tight corners and small areas. These shavers are robust and last ages with my medium-level stubble. Spare cutters and foils are available but I have rarely needed to replace them before the shaver battery finally wears out. After two years or so the red light tends to come on well before the battery needs re-charging and the shaver will not re-start until the charger is very briefly connected. But if you can put up with this minor incovenience the battery and shaver will soldier on for several more years. A great shaver in my opinion.Read full review

Gives a good close shave and has a handy sideburns trimmer. Has the power to deal with the stubble where a number of other makes I have used just don't seem to have the umph. The weak point with this razor is the plastic housing holding the foils - it is quite delicate / flimsy and needs careful handling. Unfortunately you don't seem to be able to get a replacement part if it wears or gets damaged.

Good close shave for an electric razor. Holds charge for a weekend away too.
