    Great dvd player at a great price!

    This a great little,( and I also mean small!!! ) DVD player, which works especially well if you have a Sony T.V. as well!.You can turn your Sony T.V. on and off, and turn the volume up or down as well, with the neat little remote that comes with the DVD. The only small niggle is that there is an annoying hum when the DVD is playing, but it's not so bad that you can't ignore it, so it doesn't matter that much, to me anyway!. All I wanted was A DVD player that I could use JUST for watching dvd's , and this is just what I got!. It comes with a 12 month warranty, so it is covered. And it starts up as soon as you turn it on, without any other fiddling about, trying to find the right channel!!!. I think it's great value for money, and it does the job, so what more could you want?!.

    Compact in size, with great features.

    This is the second Sony DVP-SR170 I have purchased, I was so impressed with the first one I decided to buy another for my son as a Christmas present. So easy to set up, so many features. and a brilliant picture quality. and further more it `s as if it was brand new! Many thanks Tesco`s.

    Best one one the market., couple of things could be made better.

    I have been using this player for a long time, as I make my own copies of DVD.S, this function requires start leads, hence why I purchased two further ones, not used as yet, using existing. I found Scart version hard to get hold of. Alas TV.s are no longer fitted with Scart, My 2nd tv is HDMI, I do have sony player that is HDMI.
