Lets face it.... cars are a luxury, therefore an expense. The simple fact is, no matter how you look at it, even if your car runs perfect all the time, you still have to put gas in it to make it go. Expense! But who's car runs perfect all the time? If you have one, let me know so I can get one too! But honestly, at some point in time your car needs some attention. Whether it is the simple oil change, brakes, or something more difficult, wouldn't it be nice to do it yourself as opposed to shelling out a bunch of cash to have someone else do it for you? The Haynes line of repair manuals are perfect for the novice level and up do it yourselfers! Not only do they put the tasks in an easy to understand text, they use excellent photographs to accompany the written repair. Making this a extremely valuable asset to someone with a little motivation to save themselves some hard earned money!Read full review

I purchased this to hopefully help me troubleshoot an ignition problem with my old Dodge pickup, and once it warms up enough to work on it outside where it died, I hope to find and fix the problem.

Haynes Automotive repiar manuals are great for the DIY mechanic in the family. It gives a great part by part breakdown and rebuild. This copy that I am reviewing is the 6th book that I have ordered/purchased for a vehicle, it is that good. The only down side is that it is not in color, and understandably so. Regardless, I recommend this item to any DIY and amateur mechanics looking for what they need to do in thier vehicle.
