I bought this product to replace an old Nokia phone and an I-Pod touch, and it does just what I wanted admirably. However, I recognise that I am not the average user, in that I only use Wi-Fi hot spots to connect to the internet (this is because I have a fantastic deal on my (standard mini-size)SIM which is "No Line Rental Ever", which I was able to retain in this phone without having to cut it down. What I like about the phone is that it maintains compatibility with all my old music library I built up on my I-Pod Touch, and links in through I-cloud with my wife's I-Pad and with our computers. I've not found anything yet to dislike about it, although some colleagues sneer a bit that I have a lesser capability than their latest models (whilst this is arguably true re data speeds, as I say I'm not the average user). Overall, I would recommend this as a suitable compromise of getting I-phone capability (albeit with slower data rates) at much less cost than a new phoneRead full review
This is a nice phone i just get annoyed at not being able to delete as much info as i like eg only texts can be deleted and not the source. Also i wish it would alert me with my normal tone even when the phone is in texting mode i seem to miss a lot of texts due to this. Also currently i am only using this phone for texting and making calls, no internet access however the battery has to be charged everyday, i find this disappointing i thought a newer model would mean a long lasting battery.
This phone was easy to use, because friends and family have the same phone, however the phone did not arrive with a booklet, which could impact on how to use it. The size of the phone and the touch screen are brillant, but this takes time to get use to.
really happy with the phone. great to use and was as described by the seller. I bought this phone as it has many features that are easy to access and is user friendly. great value for money
I bought this phone as my old phone a Nokia kept having annoying faults with it. I like the Iphone for it's ease of use and the large number of free apps available from the AppStore. Compared to my old Nokia phone the battery life is much better and it is much easier to use. I also found that the signal reception is better with the Iphone 3gs.
I bought this for my 10-year old son, who is not allowed to have a mobile phone yet. I put a pay as you go SIM in it with no credit and he can use it as an iPod Touch, but with the added facility of being able to send iMessages over Broadband. Have also downloaded the WhatsApp app meaning he can text any Smartphone through the internet. He loves it and I'll be able to upgrade for him to use as a phone when he gets a bit older
Bought for someone as a gift, so can't really comment. He has found the phone easy to use as a beginner. the battery life if not very long and the phone has to be charged every two days even though it has very limited low usage. Very handy having internet access when out and about.
The Apple 3GS has a lot of hype to live up to, and mainly manages to do so. It is quite heavy on battery so best to charge daily. I think however that it has stiff competition from other smart phones particularly the HTC phones which are better value for the money. I like the iPhone as it works the same as my IPAD so can use it fully.
Nice phone - great value for an iphone Lightweight and easy to use
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
I bought this to complement my ipad mini which is great and my old Samsung was a bit out dated, however the battery life is awful, I have to charge it every night and if using a lot sometimes twice a day, will be looking into getting a new battery fitted to see if that helps but love the phone and all it's apple features and its great when taking a photo with it as it sends it to my ipad.
