About this product

Product Information

Resident Evil 0 is a prequel to the events taking place in 1996's Resident Evil. Instead of playing as two separate characters in slightly divergent storylines, players now control two characters at once, switching between them at will to solve puzzles and to fight enemies. The female protagonist is Rebecca Chambers, member of the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team that would later be sent to Raccoon City to investigate a mysterious disappearance. A former Navy SEAL named Billy Coen, a convicted murderer awaiting his sentence, joins her on a train taking them to S.T.A.R.S. headquarters. Things take a turn for the worse when the train is suddenly attacked by zombies, thus beginning the fifth adventure in the horror series.

Players can examine their surroundings, pick up and combine items to solve puzzles or to use as tools, and fire weapons to stave off the advancing monsters and beasts. The partner system has players controlling one primary character and the computer controlling the other, or guiding both at the same time by simultaneously using the Control Stick and the yellow C Stick. Computer-controlled characters can be given the command to attack or to remain idle, conserving bullets when necessary. Acquired items can be swapped between characters when they are together in the same room, and partners can also split off to investigate certain situations alone, keeping the other informed using walkie-talkies.

Resident Evil 0 uses the same graphic engine introduced in the GameCube remake of Resident Evil. Players guide their characters across 3D environments while viewing the action from a series of fixed camera angles. Moving the character forward within the environment involves pushing up on either the Control Pad or Control Stick, while changing direction involves pushing left or right to rotate the character in place. Quick 180° turns can also be performed to escape harm's way. Saving the game once again relies on finding ink ribbons and then using them in a typewriter. Three difficulty levels include hard, normal, and easy, with optional vibration feedback for each setting.

Item description says new but it came without original packaging so at best it is used which is why the description review is so low. This was show in the pictures but the price was good enough to take a chance. Im happy to say the product is in very good condition and works perfectly. Shipped immediately and had no issues with purchasing or shipping. Very happy with product and experience overall but cannot give 5 stars because of description inaccuracies.

This is a revised review about my purchase/experience. Initially there was was an issue with the wrong item being shipped by mistake. I left a negative review without letting them resolve it. The seller shipped me the correct item so all is well now. The experience was great. They communicated openly and in a good time frame. Items price, shipping and condition was excellent. Happy with my purchase and overall outcome. Thank you Doug for fixing my order.

Good game, but OH so clunky gameplay.

Over all Res Zero is a good game. Believably decent graphics. U can choose 3 levels of which 2 play on. Easy through pro. I like having 2 figure out when u find things in game - what goes where to b able 2 progress in game, so it isn't just killing Z's. The plot is pretty much the same in all Res evils. The only thing keeping this game from being rated a whole lot better r the God awful camera angles u have 2 play using. Res E 4 was a VAST improvement. They finally put the damn field of vision 4 the player where it should b. 2 think this game came out several years AFTER Zelda - Ocarina of Time & Medevil One. Those companies developers were so far ahead of Capcom. In Res 4 it was great 2 see them jump ahead 2 where they should b.

  • Great game, sometimes

I had great expectations for this game. After playing the Resident Evil remake for the gamecube, which is a must have if you own a gamecube, I was expecting the same for Resident Evil Zero. Don't get me wrong this game is great, especially for beginners because you can choose an easy mode which gives you a lot of ammo versus RE1 for the gamecube where ammo is limited even on normal and you must dogde a lot to survive, but RE0 gives enough to shoot down almost every zombie you see, which is cool. Story 10/10 If you have ever played any of the resident evil games, especially the first one and somewhat like the story, you'll love this game. It answers a lot of the "how" questions. In this game you get to use Rebecca Chambers, from the original resident evil, and Billy, an ex-criminal. ...

  • Resident Evil Zero

Resident Evil Zero is a great game to own, and it is currently a GameCube exclusive. This game serves as a prequel to the original Resident Evil, so a lot of story is explained in this game. This is the last Resident Evil game to use the classic gameplay system found in the original Resident Evil, but there's a twist. This time around, you control two characters (Billy and Rebecca) to solve puzzles and explore the levels. I would recommend this game to anyone interested in knowing the background story of the Resident Evil series. If you liked the Resident Evil remake for the GameCube or even Code Veronica X, then you will like this one. In fact, you might appreciate the "partner zapping" system in which you control two characters. However, if you're only familiar with the gameplay system ...

  • Resident Evil Zero Review

What do I love about the game- Detailed and rich environments. Scary game play Good graphics (prerendered environments) Challenging enemies Good story Puzzles and limited resources (ammo and health) make the game fun. Easter eggs ZOMBIES!!! Things that I dislike- Controls are a little hard to get used to when you first start (once you get used to the camera angles they are superb). This goes for all Resident Evils except 4. Not as many bonus features as Resident Evil(Gamecube). If you played Resident Evil on the Gamecube and liked it you will love this game. If you have just played Resident Evil 4, you may want to borrow this game before you dole out the cash for your own copy. The controls turn a lot of people away. Stick with it otherwise you will miss a great game/series.
