High quality wide angle camera and very easy to set up calling.
It was unexpectedly easy to start using it. The QR code from Whatsapp for translation of my address book and calling details to upload on the portal was flawless and a real time saver. The camera is even better than I'd expected and making a "video" call from Portal to Portal is excellent. Disappointing that it doesn't work so well if the recipient of the call is only using a mobile phone and in some cases can only hear you or at least see you on an unattractive narrow screen. we probably have yet to find out what else the Portal can do.

Great features
This is fantastic, has so many features and is easy to set up. I only wanted it for Whatsapp and can easily contact family even if they do not have a Portal. Advantage is that it saves the phone battery life!

Disappointing
The product is exactly what it says and is primarily for facebook and messenger use. It will work with Whatsapp but it is a devil of a job to get passed the protocol. It does not work with Skype but I'm assured it will operate for Zoom. The advantages of the wide, face recognition , good sound quality and good picture quality image is more an advantage for your caller than you. If you want to display your photographs then this could be for you. It is not what I brought it for and as all the instructions/ prompts are on screen it is limited only to what Facebook want. The 'Alexis' feature is prompted by saying ' Hey Portal' but will only do what it is programmed to do; which is very limited. Don't buy it if you want an Alexis.
