I've been playing NCAA Basketball from EA Sports (PS3) for years (PS2 version before that). Overall, improvements are made each year that make it attractive to purchase. This year, they added CBS broadcaster play-by-play to the existing ESPN voices. You get to choose which one calls your game. Both are repetitive but since the CBS portion is new, my guess is they didn't record as much dialog as ESPN had done over the years because they keep saying the same thing over and over. Graphically, the game is very clean. Buildings are fairly accurate to some extent. I'm not really liking the menu system though. They keep sending me back to the single guy shooting hoops on a court after the game is done. I'd rather get to the main dynasty menu with the option of shooting around if I like. Sound is surround and quite good. I haven't tried online play, but it did find rivals of the team I selected, so it appears it works fine. I can't give this an "excellent" rating because the presentation is way too repetitive. Game AI is better than past games, but it would be nice to see the AI learn from my consistent offense and defenses.Read full review
It's almost like I am really watching the college game, the picture quality is amazing. The best part is playing with the Notre Dame blue devils, the crowd stands the entire game cheering just like in real life. No freezing or sticking on this game, I know other reviewers have suggested such. The game controls are so easy to play my 4 year old knows how to work them. So when my is not playing online, he plays with my 4 year old son who gives him a run for his money (only if he lets him) lol. I am pleased with this purchase.
The graphics are pretty good, as are the stat overlays and general "TV feel." The college basketball atmosphere is captured well. There are some issues, though. There's some lag at times, typical of EA's games, especially on the Blake Griffin load-screens and the intro to games. Computer-controlled teammates play abysmal defense, even on lower difficulties. Erin Andrews only talks when you match the objectives for the game, and even that's not enough, especially since her voicings are an advertised feature. Most opposing teams shoot an unreal field goal percentage, often around 70%. Even if you hold your ground (draw a charge) or press no button the computer forces your controlled player to make a play on the ball, which usually ends up being a foul. The computer gets whistled for hardly any fouls, which is frustrating. Sometimes the voice-over doesn't match what's going on. The ranking system is ridiculous. My undefeated team ranks behind teams I beat, even handily. And it wasn't as if those teams started ahead. One, in fact moved ahead of me after beating another highly ranked team. An undefeated team from a major conference should never be ranked below a team it beat (or any team with a loss or more), especially 25 games into the season. Also, on a missed free throw the outlet pass to the point guard always goes over his head and out of bounds - every time. Lastly, the motion offenses are one-and-done. The players don't keep moving around. You have to get back in position and run the play again if it didn't work the first time. Motion should be continuous. Overall, it's a 7/10.Read full review
although i payed way more than i would’ve wanted to this game was completely worth it. i love the in-depth dynasty and the ability to play against and with smaller fcs division schools. this game is a huge improvement from the ncaa march madness 08 i had played since i bought it in 2007. the gameplay on 10 is so much more crisp and smooth than 08, also the shooting button is the same as it is on the newer 2k games unlike previous iterations of the game. the only other college basketball game i would rank in the same tier as ncaa 10 is college hoops 2k8. also one of the best things about this game is people on the operation sports forum actually still make updated offline rosters for it. if you’re hype for the return of college sports games with EA’s recent news on their college football series, you should buy this game to hold you over.Read full review

Presentation is top shelf AAA, gameplay easy and fun to just get on the court and go. Dynasty Mode is not nearly as deep as the legendary NCAA College Hoops 2K7 but gameplay and presentation rivals that game easily. A great game for you college basketball fix.

Very good PS3 game for its age. Just the type of game needed when I need something different without updating. Throughly enjoying it.

I enjoy the game a great deal. It is sad, but understandable, that the NCAA sports games had to be discontinued. The game is challenging, and informative for casual basketball fans.

NCAA Basketball 10 for Sony Playstation 3 is a terrific game! I've played many basketball games over recent years, and was really disappointed with the graphics in the college editions. But NOT THIS ONE! The graphics are amazing! Even compared to the newer versions! The controls are pretty fluid, and you can adjust the difficulty to any skill level. Whether you are a die-hard gamer, or a beginner playing a basketball game for the first time, you won't have any trouble adjusting to the mechanics of this awesome addition to the EA Sports NCAA Basketball franchise! The Dynasty mode is greatly improved from previous versions! I primarily played the Dynasty mode, because it was so much fun! Also the Create A Player has a lot more options to create a truly personalized and unique athlete! A must own for basketball fans! Plus it's got NBA superstar Blake Griffin on the cover. Which means it looks nice, and who doesn't love that?Read full review
