    Like the round head as there is better access to all areas of your mouth. Not fussed about all the different features or smart phone link Poor battery reviews have not yet been an issue

    Lightweight - yes Great features - No

    This is my 3rd Oral B electric toothbrush in about 10 years. I think this latest model is a retrograde step. Previous models have had a separate On/off switch and speed switch which you could then leave on your desired setting. With a single combined switch you are fiddling around to get the right speed setting. also you go through several actions in order to actually turn it off! The 30 second timer is much less distinct audibly than previous models. My previous 2 models have both given up the ghost due to battery life. It would be environmentally friendlier if the toothbrush was designed so that it was easy to replace the rechargeable battery at a fraction of the cost of a new toothbrush.

    Oral-B Smart series 5000

    The product arrived promptly and was as described. Overall, I think it is a good tool. After 10 days' use I can say I like the cleaning action of this toothbrush and the brushing options. It is easy to handle and compact. I am still testing the battery life as it ran out after only five days. Oral-B, advised me to recharge it for 22 hours instead of 14 to see if it improved. I have not yet tried the smartphone connection.

    Not the best toothbrush I have owned...

    Pros: - Different brushing techniques useful - Like the 30 second quadrant alarm - The excess pressure warning is very effective Cons: - Battery charge life is very poor and does not last a full week - my old one lasted longer and I felt that was too short hence the replacement. - The bluetooth link to the app (as far as I am concerned) is a bit of a gimmick as I have cleaned my teeth perfectly well for years without but thought it would be 'fun' to get some stats. It seems unless you have your phone in the hand you are holding the toothbrush with whilst cleaning your teeth, there is no connectivity and you get annoying messages that you have not cleaned your teeth for 10 days etc etc... Really not sure it delivers value for money.

    Don't use Hermes for deliveries if you want them quick !

    Unfortunately, it took Hermes almost a fortnight to deliver, by which time I'd cancelled the original order and bought another product! As a general rule, you can't beat an electonic toothbrush over a manual one. Hope that helps !!
