    Heavy Haulage ...

    Bit of a strange one this! The model is excellent by Hornby, but mine was purchased Used, and did come with a couple of issues. The gear noise was quite loud, but with a lot of cleaning and some lubrication, plus several hours' operation, this still exists but is not prominent like before. The other issue was some damage in transit, which I'll have to work on, so packaging is very important. Overall, the model is a very good one, with a strong motor.

    Great Hornby 28xx Class

    Great looking heavy freight 2-8-0 loco in GWR green from Hornby, very good detail, especially the cab. DCC ready and mine is an excellent runner from very slow crawl to normal running speed with plenty of torque even on DC. If it had a diecast running plate, it would move up from Great to Excellent. Very glad I bought this.
