      A great little essential tool.

      It is lightweight, has everything in the box you could need and fits into a pocket. My last one has been all over Africa and the Far East and has been used in cars, on boats, in SUVs etc and along bumpy tracks. An excellent accessory for any artist.

      I expected more from a Windsor Newton product.

      The cap on the water bottle portion won’t tighten so I had to add a bit of plastic wrap to the cap so that it would hold water. Also I struggled to remove the paints, as there are no instructions for taking them out. The paints are quality WN paints, and the unit is nicely compact.

      brilliant, ingenious little kit !

      absolutely love this little kit. i have other tiny travel paintboxes but wanted this particular one because the design is so ingenious. iv seen it reviewed elsewhere and people have had it for years and replaced the half pans with colours of their own choice. The student, cotman version is identical but i wanted the professional quality because of the difference in the quality of the pigments. The tiny paintbrush is useful to have but i would recommend carrying others of full size if possible. its very lightweight so you can carry it in your pocket or in a bag. overall i think its brilliant !

      Brilliant, clever, very compact!

      Absolutely love this paint box! It's even more compact than I was expecting. So cleverly designed. Haven't used it much yet so can't vouch for its durability but but very happy with it and the paints so far.
