NotesImport picture-disc pressing of the 1979 album. With Breakfast in America, Supertramp had a genuine blockbuster hit, topping the charts for four weeks in the U.S. and selling millions of copies worldwide; by the 1990s, the album had sold over 18 million units across the world. Although their previous records had some popular success, they never even hinted at the massive sales of Breakfast in America. Then again, Supertramp's earlier records weren't as pop-oriented as Breakfast. The majority of the album consisted of tightly written, catchy, well-constructed pop songs, like the hits 'The Logical Song', 'Take the Long Way Home', and 'Goodbye Stranger.'. Supertramp still had a tendency to indulge themselves occasionally, but Breakfast in America had very few weak moments. It was clearly their high-water mark.

  • Good recording, nice art work LP but has inherited issues w/ cracks/pops

This is my second LP, returned the first one due to the issues w/ cracks/pops and warp beyond playable. Btw, ImportCD is my favorite source when comes to buying physical music mediums. The second LP came in expected condition, beautiful art work, thick, nice quality but the cracks/pops are present much more than any new LP that I ever experienced w/ even after a few cleaning jobs on my LP cleaning machine. I suspected the crack/pops are inherited from the art work imprinted on the LP. If you are looking for a quiet w/ great recording quality then this LP is not for you. If you can ignore the cracks/pops, just appreciate the recording quality, uniqueness and the art work then this is it.

  • Great album

A must-have for any Supertramp fan. I already have the original release and this picture disk makes a fun addition. Crime of the Century was, in my opinion, their best effort, but Breakfast in America comes in at a very close second place. It's a shame they broke up and a bigger shame that they are at odds with each other. Davies' and Hodgson's solo work, though good, doesn't measure up to their combined efforts.

  • Very nice album

Though this is a picture album, it has really no audio difference from the original. It may actually have less noise. The album' itself is great to look at and a great addition to my collection.

  • Spinning Supertramp

I enjoy this album and it looks amazing. Sound quality suffers some with a picture disk.... but I will continue to listen to this

  • High quality pressing of some old favorites

I was never a huge Supertramp fan but I did like a number of their songs. With the help of a new turntable, I have begun to enjoy vinyl again. While browsing, I came across this album and since I rarely hear Supertramp anymore on the 'Classic Rock' stations I decided to purchase this and was not disappointed. The album contains the Supertramp songs I like and the imprinting of the album right on the record just blew me away! Album is heavyweight vinyl and it plays perfectly.
