The tights match the eBay listing description perfectly; were packaged well and arrived when expected. An ideal transaction with a seller whom I would buy from again.

    A Call to Practical Living

Old classic on extreme country living. Mountain people have been parodied and mocked by highbrows for years; this book reveals useful information that can apply to living through times good and bad, written plainly and well. This first volume has a great deal of practical content; those from the rural south will recognize the ways of their elders in the many stories told here.

  • Foxfire Series is a great collection of books about the old ways.

I was very happy to receive the foxfire books and am enjoying reading them and learning some of the old ways. The only problem I have come across is that the printing in some parts of the books appears to have been done with not enough ink on the drums or blankets so there are faded sections or parts recipes missing, which is a bit of a disappointed since these books were not inexpensive.

  • Best Brunswick

I discovered the Foxfire books in the early 1980’s and the recipe for Brunswick Stew is the best I have found. My boyfriend at the time and myself would take the Airstream and our horses to camp for a week at out local Wagon Train event. There were horse shows as well as other events that week ending with a 25 mile ride to a neighboring town and back to our facility the following day. The sheriff’s deputies always oversaw law and order that week. We extended an open door for them to stop by and share food with us. They loved my Brunswick stew and always asked what night I was serving it 😊

  • Everything old is new again.

The Foxfire Book was written more than 50 years ago, and fascinated me then. I have rediscovered an old friend, whose descriptions of basic skills is even more timely than they were in my "hippie" days.

  • Foxfire books

The Foxfire book collection are really good. I just wish the books were printed in a little bit larger type set. The print is so small I am having trouble reading them. The pages are sort of off white so the black print does not show as well. That may be part of the issue. And that is with glasses.
