LOTS of modifications required to make it work.
Either the Magpul Hunter stock is defective, or the magazine well fixture is defective. I had to do a LOT of modification to the rear bushing inserted in the plastic frame to make it work. As originally delivered, the standard-length screw which inserts in the rear bushing and seats in the back tang of the action (which worked fine in the original Rem 700 stock) never engaged the threads - it simply didn't reach. I removed the back metal bushing from the magazine well assembly and ground the narrow part down several tenths of an inch, then modified the plastic frame to allow that bushing to seat further down. That was a laborious process, but it did finally allow me to seat the bushing back in the magazine well/trigger guard assembly in a way that allowed me to use the standard length screw to engage the threads, and actually pull the whole thing together as it should have done originally. I have a LOT of Magpul products and found them all to be top-drawer.... except this one. Something is very badly wrong with quality control somewhere. The magazine fits into the mag well, but is VERY tight, which will hamper any kind of magazine change at anything like a reasonable speed.
