    Didn’t want to leave bad feedback as the seller did make sure the shipping box was secure , but unfortunately crammed the contents of the box inside and creased and damaged all the paperwork inside and torn the cardboard tray, this is all what I paid money for as per in condition, unfortunately not. Didn’t get a response back so far as of writing this. But it’s not as stated in the advert.

    Hilarity and pathos shine through Trollope's story.

    Has that special quality of both sympathy and humour. Can be very very funny but also extremely moving. The introductory music has a lot to do with that and the beautiful opening scenes of the cathedral and its nostalgic surroundings with the early railways, which gives you a sense of peering back into an earlier time which comes alive. Alan Rickman's performance is just too too comic because he thinks so much of himself, and Geraldine McEwan is riveting as a fanatically inappropriate reformer who would so much rather be the Bishop than her husband. I love it when she tells Mrs Quiverful to stop crying immediately and she will sort matters out, and when Mrs Quiverful ruefully pulls straw out of her shawl after taking a ride on the farmer's cart on her way to the Bishop's palace. However ...

    Absolutely superb.

    All the BBC dramatisations of Trollope's novels are superb. Nothing can compare with The Pallisers, however, if you don't have an appetite for 26 episodes try this one. First class and engaging acting by all the cast. Can thoroughly recommend it.
