      Good enough quality for a bigger ball joint separator

      Just a bigger than usual ball joint separator, bought for use on Audi B8 front suspension, opened the jaw width out by 2.5mm for one ball joint.

      Robust splitter

      I've been b-------g about for days trying to separate a stubborn ball joint that needed a splitter with a minimum 53mm jaw capacity - this one has 60mm. It was more expensive than some others but did the job in minutes - the joint separating with a loud bang - it certainly worked for me and I could've saved a lot of time and effort had I bought it in the first place! For smaller joints there's another adjustment by changing the pivot to another position so it really is pretty good - at least in my experience anyway. It must be robust because it took a hell of a lot of pressure to separate the ball joint.

      Works perfectly - fits a Defender

      I bought this to split the various ball-joints in the steering on my Defender - I'd read that the cheaper separators available don't all open wide enough to fit the ball-joints on a Defender. This one worked straight out of the box and was very easy to use. Ball-joints go with a Hell of a bang when they separate, though - be ready for it!
