People please be accurate in describing product
I was excited to receive this scope to put on a .22 rifle . Notice I said rifle. Also notice the description says rifle. I received the scope and it was a shotgun scope. The scope was brand new never opened and on the box it said shotgun scope.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

4x32 Rifle Scope
I purchased this scope for a 22 wmr rifle I'm expecting soon. I find that a fixed power scope works very well on rim fire rifles and this scope has good light gathering qualities and a good field of view. The rings included with this scope are designed for use on grooved receivers (on most 22 rifles) but the new rifle is not grooved. Matte (black) not silver
The picture is deceiving. You are not buying a silver scope. It is black. The scope is fine, but the rings are made of very soft alloy. The base has excess material for strength and might not fit into the receivers "dovetail".Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

For old eyes and dead on ! Marlin model 60.
I put this on a marlin 60 that i bought when i was 11 years old from mowing grass. I'm 54 now. My eyes are not what they used to be. This scope is incredible, especially for the price. I can adjust the focus one time and can see very clear without my glasses. It holds true and i can hit a 12oz can at 75yds almost every time. I used the mount rings that came with it and it locked down very tight and has not moved. I don't usually write reviews but this scope is great. Rings severely deficient
When installing the scope with the rings supplied, the screws for tightening the rings barely fit and almost immediately stripped out despite a very gingerly and careful approach.
