    Great VCR—good quality images on playback

    While I have not yet tried the recording feature, this Sony VCR is beautiful. It arrived well-packaged without damage, several days sooner than expected; and it plays my 30- year-old VHS tapes beautifully. Good, sharp picture! I’m glad I purchased this product.

    Faulty recording device

    I received the product and although I usually love Sony VCR's above all others, this one wasn't working when I received it. We programmed it to record a program and it would not come on to record . The guy helping me with it even pushed the record button and all it would do in that case was record for 2 seconds then shut off. Very disappointed.

    It worked for a while.

    It worked fine for about 10 VHS tapes and then stopped projecting an image. I still got the sound but no image. I had purchased the product to extract the video from some old VHS tape to digital and I got most of what I needed done.
