The Pentax K-30 is a black 16.3 MP DSLR camera that provides users with a range of options for quality photography. Measuring 5.1 inches wide by 3.8 inches high by 2.8 inches deep, this Pentax camera body contains both an SD card slot and an integrated flash. This flash is capable of collapsing back into the body of the camera when not in use to protect it. With the onscreen menus accessible by the 3-inch widescreen LCD monitor on this Pentax camera body, users can select from a library of preset shooting modes and settings, with the camera automatically adjusting to match the specifications. Additionally, the Pentax K-30 has a selection of filters that can be applied to the images for different effects. This 16.3 MP DSLR camera can take either single shots or be set to take a continual stream of pictures at up to 6 fps for as many as 30 shots. The Pentax camera body offers USB 2.0 and AV out ports for sharing content.

    The Little Camera That Can

    The Pentax K30 effectively combines some of the best features of both entry level and more advanced models. Its 16.3 megapixel resolution is enough for most users' needs and although the camera has only a rear screen, it still packs in quite a nice selection of advanced features. It is weather sealed and offers a KAF2 lens mount that will allow users to connect almost any K-mount lens, manual or autofocus, made since the mid '70s. The K30 also offers an unusually broad selection of battery options. It ships with a proprietary D-Li109 rechargeable NiMH battery but can also accept four AA batteries with an optional battery holder. For a plastic body, it feels substantial and has a nice, deep grip, making it very comfortable in one's hands. The camera offers both point-n-shoot style scene ...

    Money well spent

    It arrived before the expected date. I was able to use the previous lens I had with my previous Pentax. Looking forward to using it tomorrow while I am on a college tour with my daughter. Can't wait to see how the pictures turn out. I have taken a few just to test it out and the pictures came out really nice (In the house).

    Wonderful camera

    This camera is a wonderful and power horse machine and came with manuals and items as pictured. Overall this camera when paired with am 18-200mm pentax K mount lens I already had is superb! I would recommend this camera. It is easy to use in an automatic setting and can cross to the manual settings for the more advanced photographer!

    Professional results in compact, light-weight package.

    The Pentax K-30 is aimed at an advanced amateur, but is fully capable of professional results. I prefer the metal-body K5 for me, but my wife loves this K30, and they have exactly the same 16MP sensor, so the output is identical. The K30 is lighter and fits her hands better.
