    top notch braking and a bargain at this price

    These are the best V-brake shoes I've ever used and they're dirt cheap. Best thing about them is that they don't cause squeal even when not toed-in. This probably has something to do with the metal holders for the pads. I'm using the black pads and they're damned good even in the rain. Very powerful indeed. Basically, don't even consider pads without metal holders. They're all rubbish in my experience. GET THESE !

    Squeeky !

    I have normally liked the quality of Clarks products but these brake pads on my Shimano XT brakes are very very noisy and squeeky compared to the old ones I removed. Not recommended.

    Great blocks

    Surprisingly long lasting, good breaking power, good value for money. I like rubber replacement idea though haven't changed them yet. I'm using them on hybrid bike.

    The removeable blocks should make replacement very easy without the need to fiddle about adjusting Pad position. Silver frame/holders look nice on the bike. Had to set with slight toe-in to stop screeching. Too early to evaluate wear rate etc.
