    Saxon builds skills

    We've used Saxon for years now and are quite pleased with the materials. It builds math skills in small increments and while that may not be for everybody, it has worked very well for our boys. The CDs aren't necessary if you have the home study kit, but sometimes they like to work independently. I like to encourage this, so they use the CD-ROM on those days.

    My favorite homeschool math curriculum combo.

    I recommend Saxon math for homeschooling parents. Especially those that also need to be able to brush up on their math in order to tech it. I feel like these books paired with the teaching tapes allows me to teach lessons without any prep work beforehand. We just go into the lesson and if there is something I have forgot everything is very quickly and easily picked up and self-explanatory in order to teach it. Yay for the teaching tapes!
