    HP Support...

    Received the HP Pro 8500A Plus as advertised. Apparently this printer sat for a while because the black ink tube was plugged! I learned how to test and cure this problem from a YouTube video. Then it printed... but stopped after one day and refused to pick-up paper! So after calling anybody/everybody I could, I ended up on HP Tech Support who spent another hour with me, finally getting to a 'hard reset' of the printer. In the end and after many hours, this machine is functional. I updated the firmware, cleaned all the rollers, buffed the covers, etc... until it is now like 90% NIB condition. YES... I would use this guy again too. Good value with some effort on the purchaser's part. Probably not many people would do all this but considering I like HP products I can't be defeated, ...

    Hp Officejet Pro 8500A Plus

    I purchased this printer to replace a similar printer that was no longer operational. I choosed this printer because the price was cheaper than repair cost and I had a supply of the required printer ink. Off the bat, the printing was unacceptably bad. Luckily, this printer comes with replaceable printing heads. After replacing the printing heads, there was a substantial improvement in the printer's output. While the print quality was acceptable, the quality of graphics printing is not close to the quality of my initial printer - a lot of stealing. However, I have graduated from Grad school - so I guess the degraded quality will not have such a negative impact. One unexpected plus, my initial printer had a second paper tray.     Pretty Good Printer

    This a pretty good printer. The print quality is actually excellent and print speed is quite acceptable. Since the printer is not exactly new, the price is reasonable. Aftermarket print heads and ink cartridges are readily available.

    workhorse of a printer

    Recieved packaged with excellence. It had an error message when I started it, and I thought, oh no... Turns out the print heads had jossled loose in transit and was easily snugged back in using automated directions provided on printer screen for help-with my no prior experience with printer heads. Even though this is the HP Pro 8500P, it is slightly newer than the one I had. I have high expectations as I was able to get 56,000 prints out of my first one, which led me to buy used for this one. I imagine the only problem I can think of that I could run into would be not being able to find cartridges that will fit it down the road. I kept my last one in service with refilled ones-which did have an affect on the quality of the color prints, but for my purposes, it was fine. 56,000 was ...
