Accurate Centre Finder
Friends said this was good but some reviews were critical. I compared mine on an accurately centred bar in my milling machine using edge finders and DRO. I then placed this bar centre finder in the collett. Pretty darn close. With very little file work on the arms to remove burrs l get repeatable centering within less than a thou. Pretty good l reckon and really quick.

Disappointing tool need fettling.
Although I have said I would recommend this item it comes with a proviso ! The etched marks don.t align to the centre and need setting up to find correct centre of bar . GUESS how I know . Now fettled it works well and is a quick and easy to use tool although for extreme accuracy I would use a proper gauge . I gave this a 5 Star on my feedback but i would no only rate it at three start

Works well, but may require recalibration
Lucky this is cheap. As when checked on the milling machine it produced a hole that was over a 0.9mm off true. While this flaw was easily corrected by milling away the indexing line on the tool, aligning it with the bed, and then re-scribing the lines, it was a little irritating that this needed to be done. Good value, but be aware you might need to calibrate it yourselves.
