There is a short circuit in the turn signal switch which causes the fuse to blow every time I use the turn signal, can't use it. Wasted money

Bought August 2018. Failed 5 months later, no dipped beam. 1/2 price of genuine Lucas item from independents but not a bargain if doesn't last. No obvious difference in quality though, looking at visible parts.
