Get one of these, please. As the cat springs to catch her prey, a bleep is emitted from the collar and the bird is scared away. I love cats, but also love birds, and to my mind this product should be widely available in all vets practices and shops as well as online. The actual collar is a safety release should the cat get caught on something. Our cat does not object to wearing this at all, and the birds in our garden are very happy that he does.

On the plus side my cat hasn't brought in any baby birds this spring, but she isn't a great hunter anyway. The light can flash when she is asleep and the beeper beeps at will. it doesn't bother me or the cat, but the cattery lady had to take the collar off because she found it annoying. .Now it has stopped working altogether, so it didn't last 6 months which makes it expensive.

We received the order in very quick time which was great. It arrived yesterday and put it straight on my cat, but was very disappointed to come downstairs this morning to find this (pic attached - don't look if your eating breakfast or of a sensitive nature 🐀😵). Maybe it will work better for birds but it's definitely not reduced the mice massacre so far. **UPDATE** I've just returned from work (same day as mouse massacre) and the collar is no longer on and is nowhere to be found. It lasted a grand total of one night and half a day (give or take a couple of hours) so unfortunately I won't have the chance to see if it does actually do 'what it says on the tin' and prevent Poppy from reducing the local bird population any further 🕊😫

Unfortunately this collar has had no effect on stopping our cat catching birds. The sound alarm seems to go off at random intervals, even when our cat is asleep. What it is useful for, which is why we are still using it and I might have bought for this alternative purpose anyway, is as a cat locator. We like to bring our cat in to the house when we go out which means finding her first. The collar is a useful aid in doing that through the sounds it emits which does not seem to bother her at all nor us as it is at a volume and tone to hear without ever becoming irritating. Great shame about the birdlife though.

My cat has worn his collar now for 2 weeks when venturing outside and fortunately, so far, no innocent casualties. My only small criticism is that the device will not fit onto his own non choke collar as the safety clips on these are too big for the device links to slide over. So he has to wear the one provided with the device, which although stretchy, isn’t the best quality.
