Rating 1(poor) too 5(excellent) Acting: Main cast:5 Excellent & good character reference to real life. Story Line:4.5 Ending very good don't want to give it away...must see. I enjoy Music and dance and both have been incorporate and well executed. The new Fame for the 20 th century!!! If you enjoy Fame/High School Musical and Hairspray... this is better and more real!! A must see for any up and coming dancer... as real life pro-trails. love this film
i love all kinds of dance films... Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. I would recommend the director's cut that includes scenes about the relationship between the lead character and his estranged wife and helps you to understand the motivation behind his decision. The run time is 183 minutes for the directors cut and 120 minutes for the cinema version. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of extras, which any fan of this classic would expect to be included. There's only a 20-minute interview with the director and other shot "making-of" vignettes.i love all kinds of dance films... This is within my top 3 dancing movies. Love it
I absolutely love this film, and it is so unheard of. I love the end dance sequence when she pirouettes into a red costume and all of a suddden she is a bad girl. Some fantastic choreography, and good storyline.
