Excellent quality!
These ABR-1 bridges are excellent quality. A quantum leap above the factory installed ABR Gibson bridge. Bridges the Gibson factory installs are very crude, poor quality by comparison. I replaced the bridges on 2 custom shop Les Paul with the Kluson ABR-1 wired, a very nice upgrade. Really compliments these very nice guitars. Excellent fit, finish and tone!

An affordable vintage-spec bridge for Gibson and other ABR1 equipped guitars
This was purchased for a custom build of a Gibson Firebird XII string guitar. As such, having the brass saddles for a particular tone, and also blank saddles so the luthier could cut the right string slots is important. Many feel that the tone of the ABR-1 Bridge is superior to other options for Gibson guitars, and ABR-1 reissue bridges are what come stock on their Reissue high end models. This particular bridge had no mounting issues and was true to ABR-1 specs. However as the saddles are "raw" a buyer should know they will have to have them slotted before use.This was purchased for a custom build of a Gibson Firebird XII string guitar. I have interchanged brass, steel, graphtec, and some unknown alloy type of saddles, all into the same bridge on the same guitar. This has proven to me that each saddle material has a huge effect on the sound of the instrument. In my case, using brass on the B and E strings, and Graphtec on the E,A,D and G strings has given me the tonal response I have been looking for. Many ABR bridges do NOT come with brass saddles, so this product should be of great interest to anyone who wants to find out if brass is what they need.
