Despite measuring, there are only some bottles that fit these. The 2L water bottles we have - despite looking to have the same diameter - only the carbonated water bottle fits, and that comes off if you twist it too far down the neck. They won't fit the still water bottle at all. So, a bit of luck needed really. We'll be able to use them.

Bottle top watering spikes
Work well,could use short instructions to advise putting small hole in the bottom of the bottles to prevent vacuum build up. Other than that these do exactly what they promise. Great buy.

Not really doing the magic you would want
It seems impossible to properly regulate water dripping from a bottle by just having a small opening: if it is correctly small opening - it will clog or close due to any miniscule changes. If it is bigger - your water will finish well before you wanted. And this kit - good intentions - but the same - you try to regulate and end up with either water finished times faster than expected, or all the water staying in. Cheap as chips and effective
Was looking for an irrigation system to keep my plants alive when on holiday. We don't have an outdoor tap so couldn't have a timer/ sprinkler setup. Lots of searches brought up various rather expensive options...and this. Cheap as chips, dead simple concept. Simply screw them onto standard supermarket 1.5/2ltr water/Coke bottles filled with water, adjust the flow rate using the inbuilt tap each one has and plonk them in the soil next to your precious plants. The downside. Hard to know how fast the water flows out so they take some fiddling to get right. I put one of them in a measuring jug, turned the tap until it was nearly closed and left it overnight. Then just measured the water in the morning and adjusted accordingly. They worked fine and happy to report none of my plants were ... Use to water young trees and great for this job
Used to water young (small) trees just planted and worked well for this job. Better than just pouring water around the trees. Use bottles with bottoms completey removed so very easy to re-fill.
