    Simply the Best!

    There is nothing more annoying than getting halfway through your drawing or design only to have the pencils lead drop out because the graphite is fractured.....Where is the sharpener? oh there it is... you twist the leadless pencil in to the device only to have more lead drop out along with precious wood flakes that was your pencil. Is the sharpener broken? Well it could be but cheap pencils invariably suffer with loose or shattered lead. Not so these Quality German Pencils. Not over expensive they in my experience unbeatable! I commend them to you!

    Staedtler Should Mark These as HB, not 2B

    Staedtler should definitely not have labelled these pencils as 2B pencils --- they are more like HB pencils. Though the leads are indeed soft, they are simply too light for shading and I would not recommend them for artists. They are also a little greasy/messy and smudge easily. However, though I cannot recommend them for art, they're OK for writing, and feel a bit smoother than a typical pencil. I bought twenty of them and was disappointed to find that they were no darker than the twenty HB pencils I already had.

    Perfect and versatile Pencil

    There are a lot of pencils out there but for me, Staedtler is the one that I prefer. This may hark back to my school days but they are the pencil I prefer for my drawing. Pencils sharpen really well and do not suffer many breakages.

    Staedtler are reliable

    The maker uses graphite from our Lake District which is the finest quality available naturally. When in use as an artist the last thing you want is a sudden change in hue when in the middle of a picture or diagram. I have used this make for decades.
