A must Watch
Awesome movie, A must for both History and War fans, engaging to many ages and viewers. Has lovely Artistic and Photographic, as well as Action with Sombre to Realistic and Respectful elements. Story of two sides and the Aristocracy involved also makes for viewing often not told. (Remains of the Day WW2). This movie offers you a ride in the skies and ground reality. Some now, more well known actors featured, bonus being the Gorgeous Lena Headey, the cool Til Schweiger (Ingloriuos B's, King Arthur). I feel latter movies have taken a guide from this style of movie. Rate highly and up there with 'Joyeux Noel',' Deathwatch' and 'Fury'Awesome movie, A must for both History and War fans, engaging to many ages and viewers. Good excapism story, but do not regard as history.
This film shows the war years of the Baron. It ignores his formative years and his time as an Observer. The flying sequences are very good, better than Fly Boys. However, it tries to show him as a caring and kind fighter pilot! He was in fact the most cold blooded calculating killer in the skies of Europe at the time. Female interest is shown by an imaginary romance with a nurse. The film would have been better if this fiction was left out.This film shows the war years of the Baron. Brave early Military flyers
An excellent portrayal of the German Air Force participation in WW1. Very realistic action sequences and a reminder of the sacrifices made by young men in the sense of doing their patriotic duty
