The DVD arrived in the post. I opened the package and found the DVD inside. The same evening we considered what was offered on freeview TV and decided it was rubbish and suddenly remembered the DVD. I put it inside the Blu-Ray player which also plays DVDs and selected AUX2 on the television. I remembered the film from several years ago and found it unremarkable, more or less as expected, but it passed an otherwise nugatory evening.

Entertaining, a true expression of losing patience in situations that most people "think,that's I'd love to doubt don't act it out in real life.
I absolutely love this film,"Falling Down",I love how the the character Michael Douglas portrays life when he gets fed up with dealing the "small print" of daily life,my favourite scene in McDonald's is a perfect example!

Classic must watch !
A film classic. Douglas okays a complicated troubled and inherently unstable Man pushed over the edge by life changes. He then flips and the film takes place over that one day. There are scorching barbs at the state of modern US society aplenty. Douglas is typically excellent.

Superb Black Comedy
There is something greatly amusing about Michael Douglas walking into 'The Whammy Burger' to ask for breakfast, and then smashing the place up when he is told he is too late. Fabulously, that is only one of those kind of moments in this film. The premise is that one day, under the stress and strain of modern life, Douglas character, known only as 'D-fens' just snaps, and proceeds to right some of society's apparent wrongs. Thus, we have D-fens terrorising two knife-happy gang members, D-fens teaching a nazi skinhead a valuable lesson and D-fens smashing up a shop because it's prices are too high, all whilst trying to get across town to see his daughter, who, thanks to his violent temper, he has been prevented from seeing. The film is gritty, compelling, and rich with dark humour. As ... Thus, this film also superbly taps into human nature. Needless to say, this is a film which cannot ever be regarded as dull. It's vigilante theme is riveting from start to finish.

Don't go there.
Love this film, saw it years ago. I always say to people "If you think your having a bad day" watch the film Falling Down, then you really will know what a bad day is.

Man on the edge
I saw this film many years ago and it still holds up today, great characterization and mixing questionable judgment and morality make it thought provoking and there's a splash of humour too. A good watching indeed.
