They just don't make shows like this any more. PC? No! Moralistic? No! Swearing? No! Dodgy dealing? Yes! But how could you complain about the generosity of this engaging family? Runs through every emotion, from tears of laughter to tears of sympathy. And the acting is brilliant, as you'd expect from the brilliant cast. Still a comic picture of post war Britain. The cars, the clothes, the whole caboodle! The life of reilly captured like a, colour postcard of Kent without motorways or mobile phones. Perfick and pastoral.

Absolutely wonderful if you want to be transported into a happy, exciting and "moving" film world. Wonderful stories, fantastic acting. I did not want the series to ever end. I will be watching it again and again.

Faulty discs
I am very disappointed with the quality of the Dvd's. Nearly all freeze leaving you unable to watch the full part of each episode and on two discs I couldn't even watch the final 5 minutes. I was very disappointed as the Darling Buds of May is a brilliant tv series and I was looking forward to re-watching
