Fits my 5 quart KitchenAid mixer perfectly. Scrapes the sides of the bowl with every turn mixing the batter better and quicker. No more frequent stopping of the mixer to scrape the sides with a spatula and then starting it again. Instructions included as to how to adjust the bowl for the most effective scrape and mix. A note of caution: do not use at high speed with extremely thick batter as the beater may break at the neck. Mine did after 10 years of use, but was my fault. I ordered another one on Ebay immediately as I can't mix without it anymore.

This cuts so much time out of mixing just about anything in your Kitchen Aid, it gets every bit of batter from the sides as it mixes so you don't have to continually stop and scrape the sides! What a wonderful idea Kitchen Aid finally came up with ! 5 thumbs up from someone who LOVES to bake! If you're considering one, it's well worth the $ and saves so much unnecessary time scraping the bowl!

This is my second one. The first one finally broke after 4-5 years of regular use and then only because I was trying to cream very cold butter! I had to use the conventional beater for awhile and it drove me nuts having to stop & scrape the bowl down. I love the Metro beater!

I gave this as a gift to my mother. She love the Kitchen Aid. This attachment, although being plastic in nature works well so long as you use it for what it is designed for....egg batter, etc. It is not suppose to be used to mix bread batter - really thick ingredients. I read some reviews saying that it broke after a month, etc. Trust me it is not flimsy. Just can't use to mix concrete. It fits the KitchenAid LIFT type perfectly as described. It would be nice, since it is plastic, it came in red. The blades don't catch scrape everything off the rim at the top of the bowl at higher speeds, but it is very little, as the blades don't go all the way to the top of the bowl. Most likely the designers know that some people would overload it and crank the speed all the way up. Ha!

I have always loved my KitchenAid but couldn't really use it for mixing dryer batters. It was a constant, stop and scrape, stop and scrape. No more, this scrapes the sides and bottom so well I never had to do anything to help mix it. I love it, it's by far the best gadget I've ever bought for the mixer. Even small batches mix up perfect!!
