Koontz - Master of suspense.
Koontz has such a mastery of suspense, the ensuing dizziness comes from holding one's breath! If his characters were not so human and endearing, you could not care so deeply about their fate. So, all in all, the book has something for both the horror lover and the humanitarian. A lovely mix!
