I have used (Solvol) Autosol for many years as a chrome cleaner for both cars and motorcycles that I have owned. During this time I had always used tubes sized items but decided to work out the possible cost savings by buying in bulk, the outcome was that I would save quite a lot of money by buying the 750ml tin, would not run out half way through a cleaning job and would not have to spend time squeezing the last remnants out of several tubes. Definitely the way to go !

If you are a keen motorcyclist like me then you have more than likely polished up an exhaust system or two in your time!lol I have ONLY ever used this product in all the years I have ridden bikes (some 29 years now!) & have always managed to get superb results using various techniques I have employed over the years! I used to only buy the standard tubes of paste BUT over the last ten years or so I have bought the 750 ml tins as I go through too many tubes too quickly! I have found the consistency slightly different with the tins - this could be differences in batch quantities - generally the tinned stuff is slightly thinner in my opinion than the tubes BUT not enough that it affects the performance of the paste! These tins represent better value than the tubes as your buying in quantity so are getting more for your money. The tubes are more convenient for getting the right amount for whatever area you are doing though as you can squeeze out just the amount you want whereas the tins it's a dab & scrape off on the edge of the tin affair. You do have to stir the tinned stuff from time to time as the ingredients can separate if left standing a long time between uses. The tins also make useful nut & bolt holding cans for your workshop when you have finished them too! lol ;o) All in all a market leading product that every home car/motorcycle enthusiast should have in his/her workshop!Read full review

I have used Sovol for years and have always found it to be excellent for all types of metal. I us it on old brass and copper...so not the usual chrome cleaner for petrol heads.....It gives a good finish. I never knew that they made it in tins and this has saved me a lot of money. Tubes from local shops can be expensive. My only concern was the fact that the tin had been dropped in the post and was dinted and the lid was pushed out a little. But it was cellotaped down and that saved it. J-G

We all know how good this product is, but a small tube soon runs out. So a large tin makes sense

Autosol (formerly known as Solvol autosol) has always had an excellent reputation as a metal polish. Buying it in this size pack gives you an excellent product at a very good price.
