C.K. Fencing Pliers
Brought these fencing pliers as please with the quality of other tools from C.K.. I thought worth paying the extra for a higher quality tool as the faces of cheaper pliers have been prone to wear, rendering then useless. The quality of the steel is definitely better than others used, making the grips and the staple claw more effective for longer. But my pair, now two years old and not even used weekly, has seen the pivot become loose. This only really renders the cutters useless, but a shame none the less as at upwards of double the price of say Draper’s fencing pliers have done less work before partial failure. C.K. have a 12mth warranty and because of the nature of the tool I don’t think that’s unreasonable. But I can’t justify buying another pair as two drapers for the same money will ... CK fencing pliers
these are good quality fencing pliers. not the soft metal type that cant pull a staple out. heavy metal, springy arms and jaws meet to provide best grip. no side slop on hinge so wire cutter part works well. write your name on them or your colleague will have them!

Seemed good initially but........
Thought I would wait a little while before reviewing, after testing them on a few jobs. Bought two of these, only used the one set so far. Had high hopes as seemed solid and durable, compared to cheaper ones I've bought previously, which did not last very long. Unfortunately on last job, the end of the pliers broke off when knocking out old staples, which has been problem with cheaper ones I've used. Thought as they were a little dearer they would last longer. Obviously quality of metal used in fencing pliers is not what it once was, compared to older sets I had which would last a good few fears. CK make good tools and this is no exception. Tough enough to do it’s job well and will last for years.

Standard design, good quality, expensive
As you would expect from CK these are solidly made and being made from chrome Vanadium Steel they won't rust. Whether they are worth three times an unbranded pair depends on whether you are in the habit of losing your fencing pliers or wearing them out. The design is now pretty much a standard followed by all fencing pliers.
