I purchased this unit as an open box item and as it turned out it seemed as if it was never opened...so the value was excellent. Set up was typical but a bit simpler on this Denon product. Straight forward instructions were very helpful but at this point I have to contact Denon tech again (3rd time) because I can't get my sub woofer running. This is my first new Denon product and I have to admit I'm now a Denon customer. Aside from the high quality, reputation, great sound and features of this product I was actually able to contact their tech people "easily." A simple phone call, brought me quickly to a tech person who was an expert at solving my simple problems. Yes, in fact he spoke ENGLISH! I had purchased an Onyko prior to this and needed to call their tech people, I tried for 3 days and never once got to anyone or anything except the same robo script that never went anywhere......I was on for several hours waiting. Never again! Although I have certain issues yet to be resolved; I'm confident that they'll be resolved. The unit has great features that work well and the pyramid for the speaker set up is a simple and small feature that no other manufacturer offers but offers a better way to set the sound up in your listening room. The one fault is that it doesn't have a back lit remote which would just about make this a perfect receiver. I'm lovin' Denon.Read full review

I have had nothing but problems with this receiver, loses audio, tv screen goes black ( approx. 3 sec ) atleast 2 times every hour. I have tried everything possible, 2 different TV's, 2 sets of HDMI cables ( 2.0 high speed), 2 new cable boxes and nothing seems to solve the problem. I can re-connect my old Denon 988 and everything works great ( no problems at all). I have contacted Denon for help ( 5 times), but this unit cannot be fixed over the phone. By the way, I have owned 5 Denon receivers over the years and have never , ever , had a problem with a single one of them. I suppose, this is just a Lemon.

My old 7.1 Denon (3801) was 14 years old, so this new X-3200W 7.2 Denon certainly has some improvements! However one of the things I didn't like was the deletion of a power receptacle in the back for hooking up another 110v item. In my case I have the receiver in a somewhat closed area so I was concerned about heat, so I had a "muffin fan" hooked up to come on at the same time as the receiver. I now have a manual switch to turn on each time I use the receiver. What a pain. But I certainly enjoy this receiver, I've not watch a "Dolby Atmos Video" yet to hear the new audio. However the audio on a 7.1 video is very convincing. I like the dedicated "object-oriented processing", and looking forward to the new upgrades promised for this fall. The old Denon was an "integrated" 7.1 and a very very complicated manual, big difference. Every time I've wanted to speak to a Denon Rep. they've been very helpful. I still have no idea what all this receiver is capable of, but I'm learning. I would certainly recommend this receiver if you have all the proper speakers to enjoy it's capabilities.Read full review
