When you put new batteries in, it will give you an ERR! message. Hold down Print and esc together, then press on. Release on and then print & esc together. Then it will work Super easy to use. No frills. Labeling is chunky like an 8 bit Nintendo. But for an older, used cheap label maker it will do the job

It's functional; I had a KL-100 previously which was slightly different as far as function keys. It does its job in creating folder labels and uses the same tape cartridges which is a benefit. The enclosed instructions are a a bit cryptic, so I wasted a bunch of tape before I got it working properly.

I bought this printer to label a new set of spice jars and I got to say that I'm happy with my purchase. I was looking for something inexpensive and easy to use and this fits the bill. The only thing I wish I had researched a little more carefully would be the price of the tape, which I found to be a tad steep for my budget. Overall, I'm happy with this labeler - good value!
I wish I knew that when it said it only prints in 3 sizes, that the one size I wanted to use (18MM) was not one of those sizes. Wasted money. Needs better description.

Quick arrival and is a replacement for a similar one which lasted me for years before the on button stopped working.
