Have been a Naim fan for a while ' and was using the nac 202 and nap200.. Bought this little amp as a second amp.. The sound it produces into my Neat Motive 3 Speakers on Granite Plinths is wider more colourful and fun than the above Naim kit.. Its modest 40w per channel drives my speakers very well with a lovely smooth sound with no distortion.. I am very impressed

This amp is very clean, smooth and fast with great timing. Base is tight too but not overly deep and exaggerated. Works very well with both CD's and Vinyls. Has very similar characteristics of its bigger siblings at a very affordable price. A True all rounder whether rock, classical or jazz it will deliver it in style!

I bought this amp on ebay without really knowing much about it as there was not much when I searched the Web. I did know and like the brand having auditioned one in the past. MF are perhaps best known for their warm sounding class A amps. But this one is not class A, but still has a lovely clear sound. It is Rated at 40w RMS and has sufficient punch. If you want thumping bass look elsewhere. But if you want a clear, warm sound and can get it at a bargain price like me then you will be very pleased. I think these regaled for around £300 when new. As an aside my wife likes the quality look and finish of this minimalist amplifier (no tone controls). It is a rather large box, standard width but approx 10cm high and 40cm deep.
Had mine for many years now, Matched with the right speaker you can't go far wrong. Yes, some say they are lacking in base but i find them to be very true sounding to most types of music. And the minimalistic but clean mirror black finish is to me great. In all a good looking quality English made amplifier that would still leave quite a few modern amp's standing! They might not be for everyone but the one that I've kept hold of is still singing loud and proud in my living room setup. And it also sounds lovely with the turntable!
