Excellent book about life in Corfu
This is a beautifully written book about the experiences of the author and his wife when they bought a dilapidated cottage in Corfu. There are excellent portraits of the various characters the author and his wife knew, and the practical challenges they faced at a time when Europe was much less open than it is now are well described. But to indicate that the book is just an account of moving to Corfu and of life there would be selling this book short - it's a cut above most similar memoirs.This is a beautifully written book about the experiences of the author and his wife when they bought a dilapidated cottage in Corfu.
