The previous owner left the bike in the rain and the original cable for the rear shifter rusted in place and would not move at all. I just have to learn how to get the adjustments set so it will shift to the very top and the bottom gear. Otherwise, always remember parts are cheap. It is generally the labor costs that make repairs expensive.
