Plugged into scart socket on VHS recorder, very tight fit. Outer casing loose and when touched altered picture quality, removed it and left the metal part and the connecting pins behind but still wired to the lead. Replaced pin part in the casing, glued the metal case to the pins worked to a degree afterwards.

Does what it's supposed to.
Bought this for neighbours in their seventies who had purchased a curved Samsung TV and found they could not connect their combined DVD/VHS tape machine (Phillips). This lead has scart for machine-end, which joins to female phono connectors on the short fly-lead adaptor supplied with the new Samsung TV (two sound channels colour-coded red/white, with video yellow). I got the slightly-longer version so that it could be tucked away along the separate twin feet, one either side of the Samsung TV (instead of a central pedestal) that has plastic cable clips supplied for the purpose of tidying the cables.Bought this for neighbours in their seventies who had purchased a curved Samsung TV and found they could not connect their combined DVD/VHS tape machine (Phillips). I bought this cable for about a fiver because I have a large collection of laserdiscs but my new TV hadn't scart connection, anyway I gave it a go , not really expecting it to work but hey presto it worked. A absolute bargain

Quick fix
Well at Xmas we bought a new telly, this one didn't have a scart socket so my old DVD player just sat underneath, doing nothing, as usual. Then the day came, my wife wanted to watch 4 Weddings again... The dreary evening was postponed for a couple of days while I waited, briefly for this cable. Easy to fit, clearly labelled, does exactly what we needed. 2 hours of Hugh Grant later, the DVD lies dormant once more. At least it is cheap.
